Week #09/30/2018 This week I have 5 baseball games. I have 4 at Chapel Hill over the weekend and one during the week in Clemmons, North Carolina. I currently have 3 strikeouts over the course of five games, this is a running total of $15 to give to a cancer charity. If I keep this up I will have an end total of 46.6 strikeouts.
My current goal is to donate at least $200 to a charity. I don’t currently have a charity chosen to give my money to but I know it will be to a cancer charity. If I had to choose now I would probably go with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. One reason I’d go with St. Jude is that around 5 years ago I drove past the hospital and I had a feeling that people in there needed help and I never felt like donating and I figured this was a great opportunity to do so. Last year I took Biomedical 1 and I found out that any form of cancer is nothing to joke around about. I learned that many forms of cancer can be treated, but also not everyone survives and this goes for any age, race, gender, or sexuality. As of what I wish I did more was actually pay attention. I passed with an A but I didn’t really enjoy the class until the end and now I wish I could take it again. As for now I still currently have 3 strikeouts. This has a very possible chance to change by Wednesday. Over the weekend I did not pitch any, nor did they need me to. Currently, I’m on 2 teams, the Carolina Rockies 15U and the Southwest Athletics. All of my Rockies games will be on Saturday and Sunday, they are usually at colleges or minor league fields. The Southwest games are either on Monday or Wednesday. For a running total, I have 3 strikeouts and that is equivalent to $15 saved to give to a cancer charity of my choice. My current charity that I have picked out is, St Jude Children’s research hospital.
